Introduction and Task Assignment before the
workshop
If you plan to develop your own course during the
workshop, you must do some preparatory work to enable you to “hit the ground running.”
Create
first drafts of the following for the course you are trying to
build:
- Identify Learning Objectives
- Draft a scenario
- Identify prerequisite student skills
This preparation will make it possible for you to
work on developing your own course during the workshop, thus enabling
you to take
advantage of the available expert coaching for your project.
Your work will
be reviewed early in the workshop, and feedback will be provided
by experts
in developing Scenario-Based Curricula.
If you do not come
prepared with these documents, we will provide with you sample learning
objectives, a scenario, and prerequisite student skills for
another course as
a starting point for you to learn about course preparation
for
SCC pedagogical
style.
