Considering working with the Experiential Learning Center to develop a Scenario-Based Task?

Some questions to ask yourself:

  • Will you be comfortable teaching a student directed, project-based curriculum rather than using a lecture format?
  • Are you interested in trying problem-based learning, or do you already have experience?
  • Do you have an industry contact that can provide advisement during development so that we remain authentic in what we ask students to do?
  • Are you willing to be involved in the evaluation later -- survey and possible interview with evaluators?  Student data collection includes short pre and post survey/test.
  • Do you envision developing the tasks for a course that is taught more than once a year -- with healthy enrollment?    (We are under obligation to collect student data about their experience, and can't afford to invest in courses that won't be taught.)

If you are able to respond positively to the above questions, and are interested in developing innovative curriculum, we are interested in talking with you!
